Southern Alberta Flooding Update

Thank you for the outpoor of response in light of the state of emergency in Calgary. Canadian Global Response is on standby at the moment as emergency crews are on site in communities affected by floods. Help will be needed for recovery in Calgary and the surrounding areas in the coming days.

Our AB Provincial Coordinator is in Edmonton today for an emergency NGO Council of Alberta meeting to determine how we and other organizations can effectively help. We will provide more information as it becomes available. However, if you would like to volunteer please contact our office at (403) 512-5261 or preferably email administration@c-g-r.ca with your contact information, and we will contact you once more information becomes available and we are best able to coordinate assistance efforts.

If you’re north of the Bow River, The DI :: Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre (4804 Edmonton Trail NE) needs emergency supplies—hygiene products, canned goods, and food (already prepared), blankets, clothes, men’s underwear and socks, etc. And restaurants that can cook hot food for 200-300 people. If you want tax receipts, bring the receipts.
